We have some exiting things to announce. Lets get to it:

Klok Cloud Sync for Mobile

This new feature of Klok allows you to publish your project list to your own private cloud location so that you can track time against them via your mobile device. For more information, visit http://getklok.com/cloud

Best of all, this service is free and we intend to do everything we can to keep it that way.

Note: You will need a Klok license to use this new feature.

Klok Mobile Beta

What good would your project list in the cloud be if you had no way to access it? Well, you can now access it using our new mobile application at http://m.getklok.com from your IPhone or Android web browser.

Klok | Paymo Connector

This connector allows you to pull your projects and tasks into Klok and then submit your time entries back to Paymo in real time. If you aren't connected you can submit your time entries as a batch when you have a connection available. In this first release, you cannot pull time entries that were added directly through the Paymo website down into Klok. We plan to add this capability in a future release.

Download the Paymo Connector now

Klok | Asana Connector

This connector allows you to pull your Workspaces, Projects and Tasks from Asana down into Klok for time tracking purposes. Currently, Asana doesn't have a way to store time tracking information so you cannot submit your time back at this time. We are currently looking into different ways to make this possible.

Firstly, we just posted an update to Klok 2.3.6 which now includes a skin with a larger font size. You can access it from the Tools > Preferences > Appearance screen.

We are also happy to announce our new invoicing integration beta. This feature allows you to create an invoice for a project (and all child projects) for a given time period. Initially we are including the ability to generate an invoice as a file or submit to either Xero or Blinksale. For more information see our website. Please note, that while this feature is in beta, we are enabling it in the free and full versions, but once this beta feature will only be available in the free version until February 2012.

Also, we have posted a new beta connector for Freshbooks allowing you to mange your projects in Freshbooks and track you time in Klok.

As usual, if you have questions or suggestions let us know.Rob McKeownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03931278610941549167noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5779786362928830721.post-90568704500478946652011-11-18T09:31:00.001-05:002011-11-18T14:56:07.509-05:00AIR for Desktop abandoned too?... Defnitely not-- UPDATE 2 --

Mike Chambers has confirmed below that AIR for Desktop is here to stay! Thanks Mike.

-- UPDATE --

According to Adobe evangelist Renaun Erickson, AIR for desktop is not being dropped. See his comment at http://renaun.com/blog/2011/11/the-gaming-side-of-renaun/.
While this is certainly good news for now, I think we are all left with
some uncertainty about the future. I'm not ready to jump ship yet but I
am not totally convinced either.

----------

With all the confusion and terrible communication from Adobe regarding Flash lately it is getting hard to weed out the truth from the rumors. However, one thing that is impossible to miss is the lack of mention of Adobe AIR for Windows/Mac. If you look at the recent posts from Adobe here and here you will notice no mention of it.

Now there are two possible reasons for this:

This was an oversight and they are planning to continue to develop it or

This was intentional and they are no longer planning to develop it

Option 1 seems very unlikely to me unfortunately. Given that Adobe has been under fire for the last week because of the terrible way they communicated things, I find it hard to believe that this was just overlooked. I have posted several comments, as have others, asking for comment with no response at all. So this leaves option 2. If Adobe plans to abandon Adobe AIR for desktop, then we as a developer community are basically screwed and left with the unfortunate task of porting our applications to other languages. This, of course, will unfortunately delay future releases and drive up the costs of our products... which ultimately hurts our customers as well.

While I respect the fact that Adobe needs to make very difficult business decisions, it certainly doesn't make me feel any better.

Adobe - this is your last chance to respond to the community on this before we make the switch to something else.

Now we are not about to just sit back and coast, so we have been working on a new version of the Klokwork Team Console to make using Klok for a whole team much easier. Also on the horizon... updated mobile versions for Android, iOS and Blackberry Playbook with the ability to synchronize with the desktop version.

While I like the light theme, I also like the dark theme and can see places where I would use each of them. However, it doesnt seem like the dark theme is included in the SDK anymore. Does anyone know if the dark theme will be maintained? Or can we just copy the one from the previous Hero build without issue?

Adobe usually has another beta ready around the time the first beta "expires" but I haven't heard or read anything about new beta builds at all. Maybe I missed some blog posts now that Adobe Feeds doesn't work.

If there is someone at Adobe reading this that can at least comment, that would be appreciated.Rob McKeownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03931278610941549167noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5779786362928830721.post-54644040980650906672010-12-21T12:45:00.001-05:002010-12-21T12:47:14.248-05:00Klok Sale: Only 5.99 using coupon codeMerry Xmas - We can't give you more time for Xmas, but we can give you $10 off Klok. http://goo.gl/9sqzv Use coupon code: hohohoRob McKeownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03931278610941549167noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5779786362928830721.post-57944793827982420202010-11-30T09:08:00.001-05:002010-11-30T09:08:00.541-05:00Klok 2.2.7 now available - New Features AddedThis new release of Klok contains a frequently asked for feature: the ability to move or delete multiple time entries. You can now select multiple items from the Time Entries tab (Shift+click or Ctrl+click). Then right click and choose Move Selected Entries or Delete Selected Entries.

There was also a bug that prevented changes from "sticking" when you changed a time entry's project from the Time Entries tab that has been fixed with this update.
Rob McKeownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03931278610941549167noreply@blogger.com0
